April has been a very exciting month for our tamariki at Montessori School House! We learnt about the true meaning of Easter and also what the egg represents. Here at ABC Rotorua Central we have a very diverse mix of cultures, so we celebrated this with a parent/whanau evening. Our entertainment was a group of Philipino singers. All of our families brought a traditional dish to share. We had informal discussions with whanau about our be school ready programme.
Fish and Chips Evening
The families and children of Community Kindy Pukekohe enjoyed a relaxed whanau Fish and chip evening. We host the evening each year in term 1 to welcome our new families. it was a great opportunity for parents to connect and share their ideas and aspersions for their child’s learning journey.
The team at Community Kindy Warspite have created some “Giving Plates” to send out into our community. Visiting The Local Buddhist Temple
ABC Dannemora’s Kea and Kiwi rooms children went on an excursion to visit the local Buddhist temple. They learned more about the diversity of cultures within Aotearoa. Walking to the temple and observing the outdoors environment was also an educational highlight. Whats a great cultural experience!
