Visit us today!

ABC Rotorua Central has an amazing natural outdoor environment designed to encourage children to use their motor skills and give them the opportunities to explore nature and to grow flowers and vegetables, search for insects and bugs, and learn to care and respect animals.

Our Infant and Toddler area has a wonderful calm and homely feel, where children are encouraged to develop and meet their milestones at their own pace.  Our toddlers are also given the opportunity to explore the natural environment and Montessori activities especially designed for their age and development level.

Our over 2’s area is a wonderful large space which incorporates family play, natural resources, art and craft, music, construction and we also have a Montessori based room.  Children are empowered to make their own choices.  We encourage children to respect the environment themselves and others.  We also encourage Takeina Teina, younger children learning from older children.  We look at the holistic child and develop a programme that encourages the development of physical, emotional, intellectual and social skills.   We encourage family/whanau and community participation.

We are excited to offer our families access to Storypark e-portfolios. They are a great way to keep up to date with what your child is doing while at the centre. You can log in to the secure platform wherever you are in the world to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of them and comment on their activities.
