Community Kindy Russell Road
Community Kindy Russell Road is a small, family-based centre for children from aged 2 – 5 years old. Situated in the heart of Manurewa, our centre has a newly renovated outside play area that encourages physical activity in a safe environment.
The small license of 30 children means that we develop strong supportive relationships with family/whanau and see the same extended families over the years. At Community Kindy Russell Road we value cultural diversity and our children/tamariki leave for school independent and confident. The programme based on the NZ curriculum, Te Whaaraki, ensures children develop a life long love of learning and have enriching experiences.
Children bring their lunchbox each day which helps to prepares them for school. Our current focus on healthy eating and physical exercise for children establishes important wellbeing routines.
Children have the freedom to discover, investigate, socialise, build interests, prepare for school and grow as learners. Our commitment is to provide them with the best quality child care and education in the greater Manurewa area.
Our teaching team are highly experienced and stable, having worked in the centre for many years. They are passionate about the care and education of our tamariki and use the children’s interests to extend and support their learning.
Community Kindy Russell Road is a rare find. Our small kindergarten gives the teachers the opportunity to build working relationships with each child and their families. We are able to respect and celebrate different cultures and foster a secure sense of belonging in each child. Our exclusive Be School Ready initiative has been specifically designed to involve families and support them through the next stage of their child’s learning.
