We are growing neighbourhood heroes at Community Kindy Warspite!

Our Kindy

We have two learning spaces at our Kindy, the Harakeke room is for our babies and toddlers, and provides a calm yet stimulating environment for your baby to thrive in. Our Awarua room is home to our preschool whānau and here they are encouraged to think, discuss, problem solve, take calculated risks, and develop independence, social and leadership skills. Both rooms enjoy having a lot of fun together.

Our Vision

We are growing neighbourhood heroes at Community Kindy Warspite! We love being a part of the Waitangirua neighbourhood, so you will often find us out on walks and bus trips to see what our neighbourhood has to offer. We also love to give back to our local heroes, who support us in the community. Maybe you have seen us out in the neighbourhood, giving baking to the road workers, or posting letters up at Waitangirua Mall? We see ourselves as an extension of our neighbourhood, complete with all its heroes.

Relationships

The relationships we have with our neighbours is so important to us, and so are the relationships we have with our parents and whānau. Our commitment to you as a member of our whānau is that every child in our centre will get the care, encouragement and attention to prepare them for a happy, well-balanced and positive future. We love to spend time with our whānau, and provide a weekly breakfast for all our whānau to come and enjoy before heading off about their day.

We would love to meet you and your child – feel free to come and spend time with us, and find out how we can grow your neighbourhood hero too.

Parent Feedback:

“Thank you for organising an awesome curriculum evening. It was great to see the various activities that are set up for the children on a daily basis, and how these activities encourage engagement, learning and development! We enjoyed watching the interactions between teachers, children and parents and meeting other parents. We’re looking forward to the other great evenings that you have planned”.

“I love the friendliness and positive vibes throughout the whole centre. I love the cleanliness inside and outside. I adore the many different learning objects they have in the centre.”

“My daughter has become so much more confident around other kids, she has become very sociable. I am amazed on how much she has learnt. She comes home every day with pictures and I love every single one of them.”

“Always welcomed by admin and staff when arriving at Kindy, the atmosphere is always calm and comfortable. The staff at Kindy are very lovely and caring.  I’ve recommended this Kindy to everyone who asks where a good Kindy is based in Porirua”.

“From the day I enrolled my son I knew that’s where my son was going to learn, play and grow. He settled in quickly and the progress in his learning was just amazing! He has made good friends and has learnt so much.  I am definitely a happy mum knowing that his teachers are doing an awesome job”.
