BestStart Kamo Central
BestStart Kamo Central, formerly ABC Kamo Central,is a bright and open early learning centre with a fantastic indoor-outdoor flow from each room. The centre is equipped with three indoor and outdoor play areas to cater to children’s individual ages and stages of development. The areas are made up of a o-2 year olds room (Kiwi Room) and a 2-5 year olds room (Pukeko Room). These areas are bright and sunny with moveable play equipment and age-appropriate resources that promote optimum learning environments for our children.
Every child in our centre will have fair and equal opportunities to be the best that they can be. We provide high quality learning experiences for children based on their interests and extend on these to optimize learning opportunities. Our teachers are very dedicated and passionate about children.
BestStart Kamo Central is located in close proximity to Kamo Primary School and Kamo High School, a large sports park and the township of Kamo; these are all within walking distance from the centre.abc
We have five Early Childhood Qualified Teachers, and one teacher in training. We feel that this provides consistant educational opportunities for children in these early stages. Our unique Be School Ready initiative has been developed to ensure that children leave the centre as confident, capable learners and prepared for the next step in their education journey. As part of this the four year olds attend one school visit a month to our local schools. This is a great way for our children to become confident with school routines before starting. This also gives our parents a connection with the schools in our community and a chance to find out more about them.
We have a Gold Healthy Heart Award! Heart Foundation’s Healthy Heart Award.
We are excited to offer our families access to Storypark e-portfolios. They are a great way to keep up to date with what you child is doing while at the centre. You can log in to the secure platform wherever you are in the world to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of them and comment on their activities.
