Montessori Arrowtown is located in the heart of Arrowtown, and offers childcare and education for 3 month to 6 year olds. We are proud to be part of a multi-cultural community which has proved beneficial to both our children and staff, enabling them to learn about, understand and respect the exciting cultural diversity within our community.

At Montessori Arrowtown, the team is committed to providing high quality child care and education along with warm, friendly, fun, and stable environments in which children can explore and learn. Expectations for children’s behaviour are well established and adult’s positive guidance fosters children’s social and emotional competence. There is strong emphasis on developing self management skills, also children are self motivated learners and empowered by teachers to make choices.
The team at Montessori Arrowtown understand the importance of Early Childhood Education (ECE) who are all focussed on providing the absolute best quality care and education based on our Montessori Philosophy and Te Whariki, our early childhood curriculum.
It is important for us to make families and whanau feel welcome respected and comfortable. We’d love you and your family to join us.
What makes us different:
- Adventurers Group for 4 year olds
- Baking and cooking with what we harvest from our gardens and fruit trees
- Through out our centre we make links to Te Whariki, the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, our Be School Ready initiative and Tataiako, cultural competence for teachers of Maori learners
We are excited to offer our families access to Storypark e-portfolios. They are a great way to keep up to date with what your child is doing while at the centre. You can log in to the secure platform to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of them and comment on their activities. “A box of chocolates is hardly enough to acknowledge this, but you guys have one of the most important jobs in Queenstown, and you do it very well. It is always a great pleasure for me to see the genuine affection you all have towards the children, not just my boy but everyone. Its great to see.”
“Our son loves spending time with you all, and I have no qualms in dropping him off at Monti for the whole day.”
“Thanks you so much for supporting Jack through a tough year of transition from the USA. It was so wonderful to find a school where his individual needs were recognised and his strengths developed. He learned and grew so much over the course of the year. Thanks for your hard work and dedication, we feel so grateful for your understanding and insurance.”
