Montessori Mona Vale is licensed for 30 children aged between 2-6 years old.  Our programme is based on the unique educational philosophy of Dr Maria Montessori, informed and assessed using the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki.

The carefully maintained “prepared environment” and special Montessori materials allow children the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace.  Programmes are highly individualised, depending on your child’s unique needs and your aspirations for their learning. Our passionate and committed team of educators “follow the child”, helping them become confident and competent lifelong learners, with particular strengths in areas such as independence and self-care.

The Montessori Mona Vale community embraces many of the world’s cultures.  Children develop a sense of pride in who they are, with an appreciation and respect of both the diversity within the centre and the wider New Zealand community.

When you enrol at Montessori Mona Vale you also become a member of the Montessori Association of New Zealand.  You’ll receive quarterly magazines keeping you up to date with what is happening in the world of Montessori.
