TopKids Manuroa Road is conveniently located in Takanini and central to Papakura and Manurewa. We welcome children aged 3 months to 5 years old and offer a range of childcare options within our complex to best meet the needs of your family.

Our complex consists of three purpose-built, quality childcare centres that are set within a beautiful natural environment. Each centre is divided into three rooms based primarily on age through nursery, toddler and preschool rooms. Off each room we have large, separate playgrounds which offer a safe and developmentally stimulating environment with lots of age appropriate toys and equipment to meet your child’s needs.

Our Infant Room

We offer a spacious indoor and natural outdoor  environment for our Pepe.  This enables your child to explore different sensory experiences and supports their physical development.   We offer a 1:4 ratio with small group sizes of up to 12 babies.  Our nursery teachers are passionate about caring for infants and have a natural affinity for babies.  We encourage open and collaborative relationships with families/whanau.  When we develop our programme we seek input from you so we can align our care to that of home.  In addition to the play space we have a separate sleep area offering a quiet peaceful place to rest.

Your child will be introduced to a range of experiences to support their learning and development such as water play, messy play, exploring through touch, sound and taste.

Our meals are delicious, these include fresh fruit and vegetables and hot meals for our older children served with milk or water.  If your baby is younger, our cooks will freshly prepare wholesome homemade vegetables pureed according to their needs.

When you enrol in our nursery we encourage settling visits.  These visits can be with Mum, Dad, grandparents or other close family members as we welcome all whanau to our nursery.   There is no limit on how many visits you have, we want to make the transition into the centre an enjoyable experience for you and your child.

“The nursery is a caring, safe and nurturing environment for my baby.  The teachers have made my return to work easier, knowing my children are genuinely looked after.  Verity has thrived!”

“The nursery is a lovely warm place , they have welcomed my three girls and they have been really happy.  I feel confident that they are looked after as they are always happy when I pick them up.  Madelene who I just enrolled into the nursery is learning so much”.

Our Toddler Room

To meet the needs of toddlers we have spacious indoor and natural outdoor environments specifically designed for their age and stage of development.  There are opportunities for your toddler to have quiet individual play spaces for solitary play as well as open spaces for group learning.

We offer a 1:8 ratio with small group sizes of up to 16 children.

In the toddler room, our teachers will support your child to listen to others and to communicate their own ideas.  Our toddler teachers also support children to be independent and take responsibility for decision making. Your Child will learn to take turns, share and to co-operate with their peers. Educators provide a range of exciting activities and resources to entice children’s imagination and discovery. Our teachers build warm and responsive attachments with children, ready to give cuddles whenever your child may need it.

Parents and whānau play a key role in everything we do. Authentic partnerships with you enable our teachers to support what is important for your child’s learning.

Our meals are delicious, these include fresh fruit and vegetables and hot meals served with milk or water.  These hot meals are made to meet the nutritional needs of growing children and provide them with different tastes and textures.

“My Daughter has recently joined the centre and she has settled in so well.  She has picked up new learing and adjusted really well.  The teachers have been so wonderful with my daughters transition.   She is very settled”.

“The staff at Topkids are doing an amazing Job.  We are very grateful to have lovely teachers looking after our child and I don’t know what we would do without Topkids Manuroa”.

Our Pre-School Room

Our Pre-school offers a programme and environment organised in such a way that your child can initiate problem solving activities, develop their curiosity and learn through their interests.  Our teachers are aware of the skills and capabilities that your child needs in order to have a successful transition to school.  Teachers promote self- help and self- care skills such as independent hand washing, toileting, taking care of their belongings and dressing them-selves. Children who have mastered these skills are then ready for more formal learning.

Children of this age develop friendships, learn to negotiate, become more self- aware and develop an understanding of the needs of others.  Teachers work alongside your child guiding them by questioning, providing encouragement and providing a safe environment.

“The senior room is an awesome space for growing kids.  The teachers are genuinely interested in the children’s growth and development.  They are supportive and offer room for individual personalities to thrive”.

“In my opinion as parents at Topkids Manuroa the staff are doing excellent work.  Our daughter has been here for only 4 months and yet she has learned to speak English so fast and all the credit goes to the pre-school room”.

We invite you to come and spend some time with our friendly team and see how your child will benefit from joining us at TopKids Manuroa Road. Alternatively, come along to one of our Open Days every Thursday! It’s your chance to meet the teachers and get a tour of our wonderful centre.
