At BestStart North Road, we are incredibly proud to participate in Polyfest each year.
This special event provides our Tamariki with a meaningful opportunity to celebrate their culture, showcase their talents, and experience a strong sense of belonging within our wider community.
For our culturally diverse children, performing at Polyfest supports their identity, builds confidence, and reminds them that their language, traditions, and heritage are valued and celebrated.
Our love of performance extends throughout the year. Tamariki regularly practise and perform for whānau, local schools, and rest homes, sharing music, dance, and cultural traditions while strengthening connections across our community. These experiences help children develop confidence, communication skills, and pride in who they are.
This year, we were excited to introduce new performance uniforms that reflect our localised curriculum and the unique environment that surrounds us. Inspired by the beauty and significance of Thompson's Bush, our uniforms represent our connection to place while also embracing the diversity and inclusion that are at the heart of our centre. They celebrate every child, ensuring all Tamariki can see themselves reflected, valued, and included as part of our learning community.
Through performance, culture, and connection, we continue to nurture confident, capable Tamariki who are proud of who they are and where they come from.
