This November, our focus on healthy hearts has come to life through joyful movement and everyday exercise experiences across the centre. Tamariki have been actively engaging in a range of physical activities that support their growing bodies while nurturing wellbeing and confidence.

Movement is woven naturally into each day, giving children regular opportunities to stretch, balance, dance, jump, and move freely. These activities are thoughtfully planned to suit different ages and abilities, ensuring every child can participate in ways that feel safe, achievable, and fun.

Through these experiences, tamariki are strengthening their muscles, developing coordination, and building healthy heart habits from an early age. Alongside physical health, emotional wellbeing is also supported. Group movement encourages connection, cooperation, and a strong sense of belonging.

Tamariki learn to take turns, follow rhythms, and celebrate one another’s efforts while enjoying being active together. These shared experiences help build confidence, resilience, and positive self-esteem.

What makes these moments especially meaningful is the enthusiasm shown by the children. Exercise becomes a highlight of the day, filled with laughter, smiles, and energy. By encouraging daily movement in a supportive environment, we are laying strong foundations for lifelong wellbeing.
