A sunny adventure to Ambury Regional Park gave BestStart Waiata Shores tamariki the chance to explore, discover, and connect with nature. From milking cows to patting animals, the day was filled with joy, learning, and lasting memories.

What a wonderful day BestStart Waiata Shores had on their excursion to Ambury Regional Park! Our tamariki and kaiako set off on the bus full of excitement, ready for a day of exploring, learning, and connecting with nature.

The children had the incredible opportunity to watch a cow being milked, sparking lots of curious questions and conversations. They also enjoyed patting and getting up close with farm animals, helping them to build confidence and develop empathy for living things.

Travelling together on the bus was an adventure in itself – full of laughter, songs, and big smiles! We were fortunate with the weather – a beautiful sunny day that allowed our tamariki to run, play, and explore the open spaces.

Experiences like these give our children a real sense of connection to the land, animals, and each other. A huge thank you to our amazing kaiako and whānau who joined us – your support makes these special days possible.
