Pink Shirt Day filled our preschool with love, creativity, and powerful conversations! Tamariki designed their own T-shirts and shared beautiful messages about kindness, friendship, and making sure everyone feels safe and included.

Pink Shirt Day is a special day where we all wear pink to show kindness and stand up for our friends.

It’s a time to say no to bullying and yes to making sure everyone feels happy, safe, and included. It reminds us to always treat others with respect and care.

At preschool, the children were filled with excitement as they created their own pink T-shirt art. Each child designed their shirt with hearts, bright colours, and symbols of love. Their artwork sent a powerful message — to love one another and to stand together against bullying.

Through this creative experience, the children expressed their understanding of kindness, friendship, and the importance of making everyone feel welcome and valued in our environment.

During mat time, the children had the chance to talk about what Pink Shirt Day means to them. Some tamariki shared, “We need to share because sharing is caring,” and others said, “They will be my friend now.”

It was heartwarming to hear their words and to see them starting to understand how their actions can make others feel happy and safe.

Pink Shirt Day truly encouraged meaningful conversations about love, acceptance, and being a good friend to everyone.
