At BestStart Roydvale, we provide warm and welcoming childcare in Burnside, Christchurch, where strong relationships with children and whānau are at the heart of everything we do. Our multicultural early learning community celebrates each child for who they are, while giving them plenty of opportunities to explore, build confidence and discover what they can do.

Our child-led approach balances opportunities to follow individual interests with intentional teaching, creating an engaging environment where children can be curious, take managed risks and develop important skills through play.

• Spacious outdoor environments: Two large outdoor areas give children plenty of room to move, explore and challenge themselves, with vegetable and herb gardens providing hands-on opportunities to connect with nature.

• Fresh meals prepared onsite: Our qualified chef prepares balanced cooked meals and baking, with allergies and special dietary requirements carefully accommodated so children can safely enjoy the food we provide.

• Start with Heart: Our youngest learners are supported through nurturing relationships, responsive care and meaningful experiences that build strong foundations for their early learning and development.

• Set for School: As children get closer to starting primary school, our Set for School programme supports them to build confidence and important skills for a positive transition to their next stage of learning.

• Connected to our community: Our multicultural centre celebrates the people and place around us, with the significance of Roydvale and our cherished cabbage trees woven into children's learning and experiences.
