How involved can I be in my child's care and education?
Families play an important role in a child's early childhood education. Children benefit when parents, whānau and teachers work together to support learning, development and wellbeing, both at home and in the childcare environment.
Partnerships between families and teachers help create a more complete understanding of each child's interests, strengths, routines and needs. Regular communication also allows families and teachers to share insights, celebrate progress and work together on goals that support children's growth and learning.
At BestStart, we encourage families to be involved in ways that feel meaningful to them. We value family knowledge, aspirations and perspectives, and we work closely with parents and whānau to create learning experiences that reflect what matters most to their child.
